Charlene McLaughlin defends telecommunications companies, elevator contractors, manufacturers and retail clients in general liability matters, including elevator accidents, personal injury claims and property damage.

Charlene has extensive experience defending elevator contractors and retail clients against personal injury, property damage and subrogation claims. She also represents manufacturers in product liability cases.

Experience

• Secured a non-suit and dismissal of all claims against maintenance contractor client after a 4-day jury trial, which was later affirmed by the appellate court.
• Successfully obtained dismissal of a large communications company in an action for property damage to electrical facilities resulting from a motor vehicle accident.  The property damage sought was in excess of $50,000.
• Succeeded in obtaining transfer of venue based on forum non conveniens, which was affirmed on appeal.
• Succeeded in obtaining summary judgment and dismissal of communications company in personal injury action brought by plaintiff who tripped and fell in roadway.
